Heart-centred offerings

We are co-creating a unique conscious community and home-education village in Brighton, UK. We meet on Tuesdays in a private garden in Stanmer Park where we provide heart-centred activities for the children focused on their social-emotional development, alongside profound offerings for the nourishment of the parents, too. We believe that a thriving family unit begins with supporting the parents to be their best selves. We do this through building a strong community, opportunities for healing, growth and returning to wholeness, and well as lots of play and fun!

This is what my heart has been yearning for, both spiritually and practically! From my first day in Village I dropped straight into meaningful conversations and felt right at home.

Meet the team

Our Village is guided by a team of passionate and resourceful women who came together to heal their shared frustration in motherhood: "we shouldn't have to do this alone"

Alice

Alice is our co-founder, certified breathwork coach and queen of the "yurt yums". She brings all the passion of the heart and soul in to motherhood and our community.

Dani

Co-founder and mum of two small ones that inspire her daily to seek deep connections within community! Her dream is to worldschool through a global network of villages.

Kim

Chief Elder, wise woman, medicine woman, wild woman. Kim uses her wisdom as a doula and herbalist to co-create our Village "Rhythms" in line with nature and her seasons.

How it all began...

We (Alice and Dani) met when our babies were born in February 2023 with the same wonderful doula that is Kim. We bonded over a shared frustration for the lack of support we had in our early motherhoods, a mutual desire to raise our children outside of mainstream systems and a yearning to return to village life. Wanting to be surrounded by sisters and mothers, and (re)learning and reclaiming the wisdom and traditions that we would want to pass on to our future generations.

So we committed to creating the space that could nurture and empower both mothers and children, together. Through our love for our families and the families around us (and our love for boldly bucking societal norms!), Rising Rooted Village was born.

You might love the Village if...

  • You love the idea of close-knit community where you can share the parenting and share the home-education.
  • You love connecting to nature, learning about living more closely in alignment to the inner and outer Seasons and want to show your children the beauty of the natural world.
  • You want somewhere you can turn up 'warts and all', without having to put on a mask or perform, people-please or conform. We need you to be your truest, fullest, imperfect self because that's how we connect deeply and it gives the rest of us permission to do the same!
  • You have strong attachment-parenting values where you want to keep your kids close, but also know that you need some time for yourself too in order to be emotionally healthy. In order to raise emotionally healthy kids, first we need to be emotionally healthy ourselves, right?!
  • You crave meaningful conversations with other adults, that go far beyond surface level small-talk. And let's be honest, a full, uninterrupted conversation with kids about is a very rare treat!
  • You need something more than a child-centred "stay-and-play" style activity, something that truly inspires and educates you, too.
  • You want more joy, laughter and meaning in family life. Maybe you know what parenting burn-out and overwhelm feels like and you don't want to be that person any more.
  • You would benefit from more regular self-care practices like bodywork or breathwork, but finding the childcare for those classes is logistically tricky or expensive.
  • You see coming together and strengthening grass-roots community as a form of social activism, a way of making empowered choices in uncertain times.

Changing the world, one family at a time.

It really does take a whole village to raise a child. Let us be that Village.

Thank you so much for coming here. Get more info over here and feel free to get in touch at any time.
